Eric Evans Johnson dies in fatal Trotwood shooting

Fatal Trotwood shooting death of Eric Evans Johnson – Obituary.

A 22-year-old man from Trotwood, Eric Evans Johnson, was killed in a shooting that occurred on November 26. The incident unfolded around 12:45 a.m. on the 100 block of West Sunrise Avenue, where officers found Johnson lying partially in a driveway and grass area, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics rushed him to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

Authorities have charged 19-year-old Armone Darnell Kinney with two counts of murder and felonious assault in connection with the killing. According to the Trotwood Police Department’s report, Kinney, who was found with a 9mm handgun, used the weapon to shoot and kill Johnson.

Kinney is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $500,000 bond while the investigation continues.
