Toronto police have confirmed that 34-year-old Alisha Brooks was the victim of a deadly shooting in the area of Jones Avenue and Danforth Avenue on the evening of December 8, 2024. Authorities responded to a call around 6:56 p.m. and found Brooks suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.

Police quickly arrested a 33-year-old man, Aaron Shea, in connection with the incident. He has been charged with first-degree murder. Investigators noted that Brooks and Shea were known to each other, but did not disclose the nature of their relationship. The authorities also seized a firearm at the scene.
