Fatal New Salem crash death of Gerald and Margaret Patriquin – Obituary

Gerald Patriquin, 89, and his wife, Margaret Patriquin, 74, both of Gardner, Massachusetts, tragically lost their lives in a three-vehicle accident on Route 202 in New Salem on Friday, December 6, 2024. The crash occurred around 2 p.m. near 648 Daniel Shays Highway. The couple, who were the only passengers in their truck, were killed in the collision. A 45-year-old man from Chicopee was airlifted to UMass Memorial Medical Center for treatment, while another driver, a 35-year-old man from Orange, was taken to Athol Memorial Hospital. The investigation is ongoing, and the cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
