Gregory Johnson, 59, was shot and killed in his home on Wake Drive in Richardson, Texas, on Thursday night.
Police responded to a 911 call just before 9:15 p.m., where 81-year-old Douglas Ervin admitted to shooting his roommate. When officers arrived, they found Johnson deceased inside the residence. A third individual was present but was not harmed.
Authorities arrested Ervin, who is now in the Richardson City Jail, facing a murder charge with a bond set at $200,000. The Richardson Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
