Fatal Huntington County car crash death of Maung O. Aung – Obituary
Maung O. Aung, 26, of Fort Wayne, lost his life in a single-vehicle accident on County Road 200 in Huntington County on Friday evening.
Indiana State Police responded to the scene shortly after 5:30 p.m. following reports of a crash.
Investigators determined that Aung’s vehicle was traveling south on County Road 200 West, just past State Road 218, when it veered across the center line for an unknown reason.
The car left the road, crossed a yard, and collided head-on with a tree. Emergency responders extricated Aung from the wreckage, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe speed contributed to the crash. The Huntington County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Aung was not wearing a seatbelt.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
