David Kantor dies in fatal Town of Turin car crash

Fatal Town of Turin car crash death of David Kantor – Obituary

David Kantor, a 49-year-old man from West Turin, passed away Monday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Turin, as reported by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities stated that Kantor was traveling east on Lyman Road in a 1988 Ford dump truck when he failed to handle a curve in the roadway. The vehicle continued off course and collided with a parked trailer and an excavator on Gomer Hill Road.

He was airlifted to SUNY Upstate Medical University from a nearby landing zone but later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are still reviewing the circumstances surrounding the crash.
