Fatal Norfolk motorcycle crash death of Xavier W. Rochon – Obituary

Xavier W. Rochon, a 21-year-old from Norfolk, Virginia, lost his life Monday afternoon following a motorcycle accident on Helmick Street, according to Norfolk Police.

Authorities say the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Helmick Street. When officers and emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found Rochon with critical injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

Initial investigations indicate that Rochon lost control of the motorcycle and struck a curb. Police have determined that neither speed nor alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
