Authorities in Austin have identified 18-year-old Diana Hernandez Campuzano as the victim who lost her life in a two-vehicle collision that occurred last week on FM 969 in the eastern part of the city.

The crash took place around 9:15 a.m. on May 17 in the 7400 block of Farm-to-Market 969 Road. When emergency personnel arrived, Campuzano was found deceased at the scene as a result of injuries sustained during the incident. She was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved.

Both drivers and an additional occupant from the other vehicle were transported to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

This incident marks the 31st traffic-related fatality in Austin for the year 2025, according to local police. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
