Fatal East Austin motorcycle crash death of Joseph E. Carrington – Obituary

Joseph E. Carrington, 55, lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening in east Austin. The crash occurred around 9:58 p.m. on FM 969 Road near the 7500 block. Emergency responders arrived quickly and attempted life-saving measures, but Carrington was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:14 p.m.

This crash marks Austin’s 36th fatal traffic incident of 2025, bringing the total deaths to 40 so far this year. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
