Fatal Grand Rapids shooting death of Montaness Lowe – Obituary

Montaness Lowe, 31, lost his life following a shooting early Friday morning in Grand Rapids, marking the city’s first homicide of 2025. Police say the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on May 23 near Wealthy Street, just west of Lake Drive in the Eastown area.

After the shooting, Lowe was transported to the hospital by someone in a private vehicle, where he was later pronounced dead.
