Fatal Northwest Side stabbing death of Riley Adams – Obituary

Riley Adams, a 50-year-old homeless man, lost his life following a stabbing incident on San Antonio’s Northwest Side.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner confirmed Adams died from a stab wound to the torso, officially ruling his death a homicide. According to local authorities, the altercation occurred on March 23, 2025, around 11 p.m., when Adams confronted 44-year-old Anthony Alan Burdette, accusing him of sexually assaulting Adams’s girlfriend.

Feeling threatened, Burdette stabbed Adams in the chest during the dispute. Adams was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Burdette fled the scene but was subsequently arrested nearby and is now facing charges of murder.
