Fatal Franklin Square car crash death of Vincenza Grizzaffi – Obituary

Vincenza Grizzaffi, 85, of Elmont, lost her life following a two-vehicle collision in Franklin Square on Sunday afternoon, according to Nassau County police.

The crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. as Grizzaffi was driving southbound on Franklin Avenue and attempted a left turn onto Oaks Drive. Her vehicle was struck by a 2011 Infiniti G37 heading north on Franklin Avenue.

She sustained multiple traumatic injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The 25-year-old man behind the wheel of the Infiniti was also hospitalized with a broken leg.

Authorities have stated that the crash is considered noncriminal. Both vehicles involved were impounded for standard safety evaluations.
