Justin Lee Crouch, 42, was fatally shot during a police-involved incident outside a Walmart store in Amarillo on June 7, 2025. Authorities responded to a report about a suspicious vehicle parked near the intersection of I-27 and Georgia Street. When officers arrived, they attempted to communicate with Crouch, who did not respond. One officer spotted a firearm inside the vehicle and retreated for safety. Shortly after, a single gunshot was heard from within the car, prompting an officer to return fire. Upon approaching again, officers found Crouch deceased.
