Fatal Phoenix pedestrian car crash death of Jose Franco – Obituary

Jose Franco, 49, lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in Phoenix last week.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Earll Drive. Officers responding to the scene discovered Franco injured on the roadway. He was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Investigators determined Franco was crossing 43rd Avenue outside of a designated crosswalk when an SUV traveling northbound hit him. Authorities confirmed impairment was not a factor in the crash.

The case remains under investigation as police continue to gather details.
