Fatal Glasgow car crash death of Bernard Pinkett

Delaware State Police have released the name of the elderly man killed when struck by an SUV on Pulaski Highway. The incident occurred near Glasgow on July 4.

The 89-year-old victim, Bernard Pinkett from New Castle, was killed after his own vehicle broke down on the road. Around 5:07 a.m., a Jeep Grand Cherokee struck him as he attempted to cross the street where he was located.

The occupants of the Jeep, a 30-year-old male and a 26-year-old female, were not injured in the collision. State police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
