Fatal Easley shooting death of Clyde Eugene Davis III
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office is currently examining a late Saturday morning incident involving a shooting that left one individual deceased. Authorities were alerted by a 911 call received just after midnight on Saturday, reporting gunfire on Colonial Drive within Easley. When officials arrived promptly at the specified location, emergency personnel discovered Clyde Eugene Davis III, aged 44, suffering from several gunshot injuries. Tragically, Davis did not survive the wounds incurred and passed away at the scene.
According to information provided by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, Davis’ father is identified as the person who shot him. This shooting occurred subsequent to an argument or disagreement between the two men. The official determination by the coroner classifies Davis’ death as a homicide.
