Fatal Chambers County shooting death of Brian Yarbrough
CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas – Law enforcement authorities have apprehended a man accused of fatally shooting his son-in-law. The alleged crime occurred in Chambers County on Tuesday.
Responding units from the local sheriff’s office and the Mont Belvieu Police Department were dispatched shortly before 9:35 p.m. to a residence in Old River-Winfree following reports of gunfire.
Emergency medical services conveyed the injured individual to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. Despite the medical efforts, Brian Yarbrough did not survive the injuries he sustained.
The suspect, David Snapp, who is the father-in-law of the deceased, was taken into custody at the crime scene. Snapp has been formally charged with capital murder. Bail arrangements are pending, with the initial bond set at five hundred thousand dollars.
