Fatal Milton car crash death of Jonathan Myers
Three individuals met their end when two automobiles collided headfirst on Saturday, with the scene unfolding in Milton. The crash happened approximately at 4:30 p.m. at the junction of Randolph Avenue and Hillside Street. Police reports indicate that a man was operating a Mercedes-Benz vehicle heading north when it collided directly with another car moving south. A separate automobile was subsequently impacted by pieces of the first crash, as stated by the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office. Following the direct impact, fragments from the crash were spread across the roadway, and part of one engine was thrown into a nearby yard.
Jonathan Myers, the 39-year-old son of Diane Myers, a 71-year-old woman from Dorchester, was a passenger in the southbound Toyota. Both passengers perished as a result of their injuries. It has been confirmed that Diane Myers, the 71-year-old driver of the southbound Toyota, and her son Jonathan Myers were the occupants of that vehicle. The 47-year-old driver of the northbound Mercedes, identified as Charles Ocitti from Mattapan, sustained severe injuries and was transported to a Boston hospital, where he later passed away.
Milton Police are currently examining the situation. Randolph Avenue is also recognized as part of Route 28.
Community members voiced concerns, noting that this road is regarded as one of the most hazardous in the state.
