When authorities arrived at the location on Thursday, the person suspected of the crime began firing at them, causing harm to one police officer from Shorewood. Shorewood’s chief expressed concern for the officer’s safety and emphasized the need to halt such acts against law enforcement. Further details from the Wauwatosa Police Department indicate that around 9:30 a.m., officers located the suspect in a dark car and initiated a pursuit. During this chase, the suspect fired at the officers from his moving vehicle. The incident concluded near a different area in Milwaukee. In response, the police officers returned fire, leading to the suspect’s death.

No officers were reported to have been hurt in the chase or confrontation. Standard procedures were followed, with involved officers placed on temporary leave. The suspect’s name has not been released.
