Fatal Phoenix shooting death of Johnathan Joel Rosenlund

Phoenix (AZFamily) — Law enforcement authorities are examining a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a man overnight in the southern Phoenix area.

The incident started shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday near the intersection of 25th Avenue and Broadway Road. Police officers discovered a man who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed the man was deceased.

The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Johnathan Joel Rosenlund.

Two other individuals were held at the scene and later transported to police headquarters for questioning. Both have since been released, awaiting the results of the ongoing investigation.

Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.
