Winnipeg police confirmed the death of a woman after she was discovered unresponsive on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred on Alfred Avenue near Charles Street. According to preliminary reports, officers were dispatched to the location following the discovery.
When emergency responders arrived, they found paramedics already providing care for the woman outside. She was transported to a hospital in critical condition due to her severe injuries. Tragically, her condition deteriorated, leading to her untimely demise.
The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Christine Beck. Shortly after the incident, Winnipeg police apprehended two individuals. A 36-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were taken into custody around 2:00 a.m. on August 7th.
Cailie Lauren Chartrand and Bradley Kenneth Jones have been formally accused of manslaughter in connection with this incident. Police have stated that the public and surrounding community are no longer at risk from this particular situation.
