Fatal Union Township car crash death of Lisa Bush

Emergency services responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Ohio’s State Route 73, approximately eleven hours after the incident began Saturday morning. The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) dispatched units to investigate the scene located near Mile Post 6 in Union Township, Clinton County.

According to initial reports, a nineteen-year-old male was operating a 1998 Dodge Ram heading westbound on the roadway. Simultaneously, a 56-year-old female, identified as Lisa Bush, was driving a 2023 Buick Enclave eastbound on the same highway. The OSHP reported that the young driver failed to successfully navigate a curve, resulting in a loss of vehicle control.

This caused the Dodge Ram to cross the center divider, striking the oncoming Buick Enclave directly. Following this first collision, a 76-year-old male driving a westbound vehicle behind the disabled Dodge Ram reportedly struck road debris. This impact left his vehicle disabled at the crash site.

Medical personnel pronounced the 56-year-old woman, Lisa Bush, deceased at the scene. The 19-year-old driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. The 76-year-old male driver involved in the secondary collision was not reported to be injured. The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that local emergency services, including the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Wilmington Fire and EMS, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Clinton County Coroner’s Office, provided assistance at the scene. The multi-vehicle incident is currently being treated as an ongoing investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
