Fatal Harper County car crash death of Saul Velez Ayala

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported a fatal collision occurred in Harper County on Sunday afternoon. Details indicated 56-year-old Saul Velez Ayala was operating his automobile on Highway 183, situated just south of Buffalo, when it made contact with a semi-truck.

The involved crash led to the closure of Highway 183 for approximately three hours due to the severity of the impact. According to the OHP, Mr. Velez Ayala did not survive the collision and died at the scene. An investigation revealed he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

The driver of the semi-truck, identified as 50-year-old Tracy Jennings-Turner, was involved in the accident and received injuries. OHP officials are continuing their probe into the cause of death for Mr. Velez Ayala.
