Fatal Travelers Rest car crash death of Robert S. Wolgemuth

The Greenville County Coroner’s office has officially identified the elderly man killed in Saturday’s accident.

Emergency responders arrived at the intersection shortly after 4:50 p.m. Following an investigation, it was determined that two motor vehicles collided.

Located at the confluence of Tubbs Mountain Road and State Park Road, this two-car accident resulted in one fatality.

Officials report the driver of one vehicle received medical attention. This individual was taken to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Regrettably, despite the medical intervention, the fatality was confirmed at the hospital by emergency medical services.

The deceased person has been identified as Robert S. Wolgemuth, an 87-year-old resident.
