Fatal Leona Valley car crash death of Alyssa Martin

City News Service reported Thursday that a 20-year-old woman died when her vehicle crashed in an unincorporated area south of Palmdale. The incident occurred at 11:09 p.m. on August 8 on Godde Hill Road in Leona Valley.

According to Officer Elizabeth Kravig with the California Highway Patrol, the agency’s officers discovered the victim at the scene. Kravig informed City News Service that emergency medical services transported the woman to a hospital, but she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Los Angeles County Medical Examiner officials confirmed the identity of the deceased as Alyssa Martin on Thursday. The California Highway Patrol has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fatal accident.
