Dennis Barriera dies in fatal Waterbury car crash

Fatal Waterbury car crash death of Dennis Barriera

Waterbury officials have confirmed the identity of the person who lost their life in a serious motorcycle collision at a city intersection. The authorities stated that the deceased is Dennis Barriera, a 41-year-old local resident.

According to Lieutenant Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury police, Barriera was operating a motorcycle when the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon. The crash involved another automobile and occurred at the crossing of East Main Street and Baldwin Avenue just after 5 p.m. Bessette mentioned that Barriera was taken to a hospital right after the incident but did not survive.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was not hurt and remained at the location. Bessette added that the department is still examining the circumstances of the accident, with its Crash Reconstruction Unit conducting a detailed investigation to determine the causes.
