Fatal Baton Rouge shooting death of Jonathan Triplett

In early April, a fatal shooting incident took place on North 38th Street in Baton Rouge. Authorities reported that the event involved a vehicle located near N. 38th Street and Choctaw Drive. Police stated that they discovered a Dodge automobile with numerous bullet perforations. Inside the car, found slumped over in the driver’s position, was Jonathan Triplett, who was 18 years old. Investigators revealed that the damage was concentrated on the driver’s side and that they suspected the gunfire was deliberately aimed.

The main suspect, identified as Keithan Lee, who is 19, contacted law enforcement on his own initiative. According to reports, Lee saw his face displayed on the OnLive Patrol app and decided to surrender. He was formally processed for charges including second-degree murder and the unlawful possession of a weapon. Lee is currently lodged in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. This case is still being examined by investigators.
