Clarksville authorities reported this morning that 87-year-old Martha Knight passed away due to her injuries at a Nashville medical center yesterday afternoon.

This occurred following an incident where Martha was a passenger in her 90-year-old husband’s vehicle. The vehicle was involved in a head-on collision on Memorial Drive on Tuesday, August 12th. William Knight was pronounced deceased at the accident site.

Martha and another female occupant were airlifted to a Nashville hospital. Martha’s condition was under medical review until her death, while the status of the other passenger remains unknown, though they were reportedly in stable condition on Wednesday.

The police department is continuing to look into the accident. They stated that the other car swerved into Martha and her husband’s path.
