Fatal Baton Rouge shooting death of Mirtalarellana Ramirez

Law enforcement authorities in Baton Rouge have officially named the individual connected to a tragic event that occurred as a murder-suicide on Wednesday morning.

According to police reports, the person accountable for the fatal shooting of Mirtalarellana Ramirez, who was 55 years old, is identified as Guadalupe Reyes Vasquez, a 42-year-old resident of Baton Rouge.

Responding to the incident, officers arrived at the scene before 6 a.m. on Wednesday in the 11200 block of Florida Boulevard. Following the disturbance, Ramirez was taken to a hospital but unfortunately passed away due to her injuries.

Sources at the location informed the police that Ramirez and her male friend had a prolonged disagreement that had lasted for two weeks.

On the same day, homicide investigators were notified by deputies from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office about the discovery of a man who died from a gunshot wound in the 16000 block of Hamilton Avenue.

In a press statement, the Baton Rouge Police confirmed that this deceased person was Guadalupe Reyes Vasquez and that he was directly responsible for the death of Ramirez in the shooting incident.
