Ryan Douglas Bradford dies in fatal Easley shooting

Fatal Easley shooting death of Ryan Douglas Bradford

The Easley Coroner’s office responded to East Terrace Drive around 9:20 p.m.

The investigating coroner, identified as Ryan Douglas Bradford, determined the 26-year-old sustained injuries consistent with being struck by a pellet from an air rifle. His death is currently being treated as accidental.

According to the Coroner’s office, the shooting incident does not seem to have been self-inflicted.

The Easley Police Department confirmed there is no current threat to the public and stated the preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Pickens County Coroner’s Office representative Andrew Wilson noted that fatalities resulting from air rifle pellets are rare occurrences, adding he has no prior experience with this type of case.

Wilson expressed that the initial circumstances presented a peculiar situation.

The Pickens County Coroner’s Office and the Easley Police Department continue to examine the case.
