Fatal Al Dhannah City car crash death of Syed Waheed and Sana Beeghum

The fatal car accident that claimed the lives of Syed Waheed and his spouse Sana Beeghum transpired during the early hours of Thursday, killing them instantly. This occurred at around 3 a.m. while they were traveling from Abu Dhabi to Ruwais.

In the same incident, their four-month-old son, Syed Umar, endured serious trauma and is now in a critical medical state, dependent on a respirator at the hospital. The infant continues to receive care amid ongoing treatment.

Alongside Syed Umar, the parents’ eight-year-old daughter, Sidrah Mohammed, and one-year-old daughter, Sadiya Mirha, were transported to medical facilities with a range of injuries. Both older children have undergone operations and are in the recovery phase at the hospital.

Syed Mateen, the brother-in-law of the deceased, provided an update, stating that he has been confined to the hospital since the accident. He recently visited Hyderabad to finalize arrangements for his sister and brother-in-law, including their funeral ceremonies.

Mateen brought his mother and younger sibling to the UAE, and they have been tending to the injured offspring. He disclosed that the family has withheld information about their parents’ demise from the children, using vague explanations to avoid emotional turmoil.

The eldest daughter, Sidrah, repeatedly expresses a desire to speak with her parents, adding to the family’s anxiety. Mateen underscored that their immediate focus is on supporting the girls’ recuperation, leaving little room for personal sorrow.

The family is deliberating the girls’ educational futures, with aspirations to enroll them in pediatric medicine programs, mirroring their father’s ambitions. Waheed’s employer has offered substantial assistance during this challenging time.

The couple was of Indian origin and was en route to their hometown in Hyderabad. The accident unfolded on Thursday, August 15, 2025, at a crucial hour, highlighting the sudden nature of the tragedy.
