Fatal Richmond car crash death of Tommy Oliver of Third Street
The identity of one individual who perished in an afternoon accident on Richmond Kroger has been made public by local law enforcement.
According to Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison, who confirmed the information to WBON-TV9, the motorcycle operator, a 54-year-old named Tommy Oliver from Third Street in Richmond, passed away at the scene just before midday.
This collision transpired at a junction on HWY 25 involving Kroger and Sonny’s BBQ. The incident required the exchange of vehicles between a motorcycle and another car.
A female companion of Oliver, who was riding on the motorcycle, was provided emergency medical transport to UK Hospital. Tragically, she later passed away as a result of her injuries.
A subsequent update reported at 8:15 pm identified the female passenger as Cynthia Tyra, a resident of Richmond.
Investigators indicate the crash is currently being examined.
WBON has stated it will wait for notification of the passenger’s next of kin before disclosing her identity.
