Authorities confirmed the identity of the person killed in a tragic crash on Highway 43 in Pearl River County yesterday. Details indicate a semi-truck from the 1994 model year, driven by a 65-year-old man from Kokomo, was moving southbound on the roadway. The driver left the roadway, crossing over to the shoulder and then departing control before striking a tree. As a result of these injuries, Jefferson was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
