Upon the arrival of sheriff’s deputies at the scene, officers discovered two men suffering from injuries caused by gunfire. Emergency medical services transported both individuals to nearby medical facilities. Tragically, one of the victims was pronounced deceased shortly following their arrival at the hospital.

Deputies identified the deceased as Richard Anthony Smith, a 30-year-old resident of San Bernardino. Details regarding the condition of the second injured person were not immediately available.
