Further information has been made available regarding a deadly incident involving law enforcement that occurred Monday morning on the grounds of a business in the Harold area of Floyd County, Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police have officially identified the deceased individual as Henry Foster, aged 33, from Raven, Virginia.
According to the investigating officers, Mr. Foster presented a threat of self-injury using a weapon and refused to relinquish the firearm, even after attempts by law enforcement to communicate with him.
The incident began around 10 a.m. on Monday close to a Dollar General retail outlet.
On Monday, a man named Henry Foster, 33, from Raven, Virginia, died in an officer-involved shooting in the Harold area of Floyd County, Kentucky.
Investigators reported that Mr. Foster was attempting to board several vehicles and had asked for transportation from the scene before the sequence of events that led to the shooting began.
Despite medical efforts at the location, Mr. Foster was confirmed dead at the scene following a shot fired by a trooper.
No other people sustained injuries during this incident.
