At that time, emergency services reported a collision between a motor vehicle and a person walking along the street, located at the busy junction of North Park Street and Northview Circle Drive.

According to police reports, the individual who was struck received prompt medical attention following the incident. Unfortunately, despite this intervention, the pedestrian, identified as 72-year-old Raymond Gibbs, who was a local resident of Brenham, later lost his life.
