Scott Wiggins, 67, Dies in Moore County Car Crash

Scott Wiggins, aged 67, passed away in a vehicle collision in Moore County, Texas.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, around 12:04 a.m. on August 21, 2025, a pedestrian, identified as Scott Wiggins from Wichita Falls, was killed when hit by a large truck on U.S. 87/287. The incident occurred approximately 5.2 miles south of Dumas during the early morning hours.

Witnesses reported seeing a truck tractor pulling a semi-trailer traveling southbound collide with the victim, who was walking on the road, before continuing on its way. The Texas DPS stated that the road was dry and clear at the time of the accident. Mr. Wiggins was confirmed deceased at the scene.

The authorities are currently investigating the crash and are attempting to identify the specific tractor-trailer and its driver.
