Fatal Lewes car crash death of Tracey Harden
Delaware State Police have identified the deceased woman as 68-year-old Tracey Harden following a collision that left three others injured near Angola.
Harden passed away after being transported to a regional hospital. She was a passenger in the Honda CRV that was involved in the accident.
The other individuals injured in the incident included a 78-year-old man from Lewes who was driving the Honda CRV, along with two additional passengers. The passengers were a 36-year-old woman from Lewes and a 37-year-old woman from Jersey City, New Jersey.
The woman from Jersey City sustained critical injuries, while the other two individuals suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
According to police reports, the Honda CRV was traveling southbound on Harts Road and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with John J. Williams Highway at approximately 1:55 p.m.
For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the Honda CRV proceeded to make a left turn onto John J. Williams Highway, directly into the path of a westbound Freightliner Cascadia truck.
The driver of the commercial vehicle, identified as a 64-year-old man from Bowie, Maryland, chose not to seek medical treatment after the incident.
