Emergency dispatchers sent police to the scene of a shooting in the early hours of Sunday morning. Upon arriving at the residence located on Fairfax Drive, officers discovered an injured woman inside the dwelling. First responders provided medical attention and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. The woman, who tragically succumbed to her injuries, was later confirmed to be 57-year-old Travis Renee Baldwin from Winchester.

A homicide investigator revealed that Baldwin’s son, 27-year-old Logan Chrisinger of Arlington, was the person charged with her death. According to the detective, Chrisinger remained inside the home when law enforcement personnel arrived. The official cause and manner of Baldwin’s death have not yet been officially declared by the Chief Medical Examiner’s office.

Investigators are currently examining the events that led to the fatal shooting.
