The county coroner’s office confirmed the identity of the individual who passed away in the incident.

Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden explained that the 29-year-old resident from Little River succumbed to his injuries stemming from the unfortunate single-vehicle accident.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 5:04 a.m. on Secondary 57, located close to Frank Gore Road.

The involved vehicle was a 2015 GMC Sierra, with only one person inside.

The truck was moving southbound on Secondary 57 when it veered off the road to the right. It collided with a tree, a culvert, and a mailbox before flipping over and ending up in a ditch.
