Fatal Saginaw shooting death of Cortney Michelle King

Saginaw authorities reported responding to a disturbance call at the intersection of Emerson and Howard Streets shortly after 9:45 p.m. on the evening of August 23rd, according to official statements. Law enforcement personnel discovered an individual suffering from multiple gunshot injuries upon their arrival at the scene. Medical personnel transported the injured party to a regional healthcare facility, but pronounced the individual, later confirmed as 43-year-old Cortney Michelle King from Saginaw Township, deceased.

The ongoing investigation indicates that two other people sustained gunshot wounds during this incident. One victim is an 18-year-old male originally from Buena Vista Township, while the second injured person is an 18-year-old male identified as a local resident of Saginaw. Both individuals were transported to another medical center for treatment.

Saginaw Police and members of the Major Crimes Unit from Michigan State Police are examining this incident. As of now, law enforcement has not secured any suspects or made any arrests. The case remains open.
