Fatal Newfield car crash death of Mckeon C. Mckeon-Fish

Franklin Township authorities report a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian incident occurred on a Sunday morning. A man was struck and subsequently killed by a vehicle.

The Franklin Township Police Department announced they were dispatched around 8:00 AM Sunday to Madison Avenue in Newfield regarding a reported hit-and-run situation involving a person walking on the road.

Upon investigation, police confirmed a motorist traveling south on Madison Avenue collided with a pedestrian located on the south side of the thoroughfare. The operator of the vehicle left the scene of the accident immediately after the collision.

Shortly after the initial call, emergency dispatchers received a 911 report from Emmanuel Anakwah, who was identified as 36 years old and resided in Newfield. He informed dispatchers he was involved in an accident on Madison Avenue. Law enforcement located Anakwah and transported him to a secure facility without encountering any issues.

The victim, later identified as Mckeon C. Mckeon-Fish, was 35 years old and also lived in Newfield. Medical professionals pronounced him dead at the scene.

As a result of this fatal accident, Emmanuel Anakwah has been formally charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Causing Death. He was released from police detention and will need to appear in a court of law.
