MICHAEL P. TERRIO DIES IN FATAL GUILFORD CAR CRASH
Fatal Guilford car crash death of Michael P. Terrio
A firefighter identified as Michael P. Terrio, aged 32 from the town of Killingworth, has passed away following a collision on I-95 South. According to state police reports, Mr. Terrio rear-ended another vehicle on I-95 South near Exit 59. After being transported to a hospital, he was pronounced deceased. The Town of Guilford and the local fire department confirmed his status as an active firefighter.
Fire Chief Michael Shove released a statement regarding Firefighter Terrio’s death. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We ask the community to support his family as we mourn the loss of a valued firefighter brother,” the chief stated.
It was further noted that Firefighter Terrio also served part-time on the Branford Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2533 medic unit. He had previously attended the Middlesex County Fire School.
Mr. Terrio was described by colleagues as a committed and caring professional.
