A fatal shooting death of Shyanne Crawford occurred in northeast Oklahoma City

Law enforcement authorities have arrested a seventeen-year-old individual following accusations that he shot and killed his romantic partner during the recent weekend in the northeastern section of Oklahoma City. The suspect is reportedly a minor.

The Oklahoma City Police Department is examining a homicide incident that transpired in northeast Oklahoma City on Saturday, the 23rd of August in the year 2025.

According to reports, around 2:15 in the afternoon on that Saturday, police units were dispatched to a domestic disturbance or shooting incident occurring at a residence situated near the intersection of Northeast 20th Street and Bath Avenue. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered a person injured by gunfire inside the dwelling.

Emergency medical services transported the injured individual to a nearby hospital. Tragically, medical personnel pronounced the seventeen-year-old female victim, Shyanne Crawford, deceased at the hospital.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the individual accused of the shooting attempted to flee the location before ultimately being apprehended by law enforcement officials. The suspect, also seventeen years of age, has been formally processed and lodged into the Oklahoma County Juvenile Detention Center under charges related to causing the death of another person.
