Law enforcement officials confirmed the identity of the deceased individual who arrived at South Valley Medical Center. State troopers initially responded to reports concerning the situation at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hospital security was heightened initially due to concerns about a potential shooting wound, though subsequent examination confirmed no firearms were involved.

An autopsy performed by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office determined the direct cause of Barbour’s death was significant blunt force trauma affecting her neck and head regions. Authorities are investigating the death as suspicious, believing the initial injuries occurred on Vermont Route 11 near its intersection with Mansfield Lane in Londonderry. Police have confirmed that an individual initially associated with the incident has since been released.
