A devoted senior missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has died following a tragic lawn mower incident. Brent Blackburn, aged 68, who was a member of the faith’s Helper Stake in Utah, tragically lost his life in an accident involving a riding lawn mower. The unfortunate event occurred near Gallatin. Church spokesperson Sam Penrod confirmed the details in a news release issued on Monday.

Blackburn, who served faithfully alongside his wife Carolyn at the church’s historic Adam-ondi-Ahman site in Missouri since April, was operating the mower on a side hill when it overturned. This led to his death on the premises. The accident happened on the grounds located near Gallatin.
