Health officials in Bexar County have confirmed that Tijerina, aged twenty, passed away on Monday, the morning of the twenty-fourth of August, in a healthcare facility within San Antonio. His demise resulted from injuries he sustained previously. Reports indicate that Tijerina allegedly shot himself in Laredo.

In accordance with information provided by Laredo Police, emergency personnel responded to a residence on Palmito Drive, specifically within the five thousand block, during the wee hours of the twenty-second of August. The initial call was received around four in the early morning. Upon arrival, responders discovered Tijerina exhibiting a self-inflicted injury to the head.

Following the incident, Tijerina was initially transported to a hospital near the scene. Subsequently, he was airlifted to a facility in San Antonio for further medical care. While receiving treatment, his condition led to his transfer to the jurisdiction of law enforcement.

Tijerina is connected to the death of Simon Cuevas, a fourteen-year-old individual. This connection dates back to the month of April. During that period, Tijerina was reportedly part of a group that targeted Cuevas as he was departing his home. The group members allegedly discharged a firearm, resulting in Cuevas’s death.
