Omaha police responded to a shooting incident in the early hours of Monday morning in North Omaha.
Dispatch reports indicated that several individuals were transported to the hospital following the incident on Elm Avenue near 24th and Patrick streets shortly after the midnight hour.
One of the people taken to the medical facility, confirmed to be 22-year-old Chance McCowin, was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
The other two individuals involved in the shooting incident are currently reported to be in stable health, according to the Omaha Police Department.
