Dinh Le, a 75-year-old man from Berkeley, passed away following a minor collision. According to his daughter, Betty Le, he was crossing the street near Willard Park earlier this month. He was taken to Highland Hospital and sadly, he passed away there on Sunday, August 24th.

The official cause of death is attributed to the vehicle incident. The collision occurred on Sunday, the 17th of August, around 6:45 in the evening. A neighbor saw the immediate aftermath and stated that the sun was near the horizon at the time. This person reported seeing several teenagers gathered around Mr. Le after the accident. One of the bystanders contacted emergency services, and paramedics arrived on the scene very quickly.

The driver involved in the accident was reportedly a parent with a teenager in the vehicle. They assisted the injured pedestrian and cooperated fully with the police inquiry. Witnesses mentioned that Mr. Le was conscious and responsive when medical personnel arrived, and they carefully transported him to the hospital on a stretcher.
