According to the Virginia State Police, an individual passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday in Carroll County, Virginia. The authorities have confirmed that the deceased was George W. Houck, a resident of Bassett, Virginia, aged 46.

Law enforcement reported the accident transpired at 1:29 a.m. on Route 58. This location is near Shaners Way. The individual was observed traveling in the westbound direction in a 2012 Toyota Venza.

Further details state that Houck’s vehicle departed the roadway, specifically veering off the right side. Subsequently, it contacted a culvert and the embankment area. The car experienced multiple rotations before coming to rest. The individual was thrown from the vehicle during this process. Police have indicated that Mr. Houck was not secured with a seatbelt at the time of the incident. Tragically, his fatal injuries were sustained directly at the scene.
